While on a hike the other day, I was reflecting on the artful chaos of nature. I contemplated the beauty of a rushing spring brook running through a ravine. Rocks, sticks, and sand had ended up landing just so, almost seeming arranged. Water bubbled over small waterfalls every few yards. Ferns carpeted portions of the banks, and young redwoods sprouted from fallen trees. A huge old log with gnarled branches was completely encased in soft-looking moss. All of this loveliness from chaos.
Sometimes I work so hard to make my scrapbook pages beautiful. I wonder what I can learn Nature’s chaotic beauty that I can apply to my scrapbooking.
